Yes, Unapologetic Witch , I know Dylan – I have his book Baking Yesteryear. I bought it because of "36. Chocolate – Potato Chip – Cookies" .

He did the bacon choc cookies!? And I thought I was being original. But to my defense: it's not in mentioned book.

Also, never use the fat itself! They turn into a mess – granted, a well-tasting mess. BUT: with the sheer "meat" of the bacon, they keep their shape.

So I'm semi-original. (Because the idea popped into my head out of scarcity and necessity.)

Anyway, my friend Manuela who was the first "test eater" didn't guess it, although the taste is unmistakable. She didn't believe it... until she broke a cookie in half and a bacon chunk peeked out.
