I already grew up in a house full of books – from my Mom's side, who was an avid reader. We even have a few authors in the family pedigree, like Carl Friedrich Gauss (yes, that Gauss. BIG SORRY in preemptive obedience for logarithms and Co. I suck at math. Peace?).
I'm a moron. I schlep books with me in my luggage for traveling, and bring back more (yup, extra fees).
Like the other "bookies", I like the weight, the rustling of the pages, that a book can't break down or must be recharged... good, water's their enemy, BUT: hot baths are the Kindle & Co. enemy too.
It's really bloody magical when you open a book... a whole world (real or not) between two book covers, at your hands. NO electronic reading device can ever do that.
