Driving the back roads in the Upper Peninsula, especially Copper Harbor on the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula on Lake Superior. We travel here in the fall, so beautiful, even in the rain. I wear a waterproof jacket over a warm flannel shirt and search for agates along Superior's rocky shoreline while Hubby reads a book in our vehicle. Even in the mist, the landscape is lovely. We usually stop at the Jam Pot, a little place run by monks who sell delicious baked goods and jam. And we never go home without ordering a Yooper pasty.
