I don't usually interrupt the flow of this refreshingly intelligent Q/A forum but I just have to say that I couldn't agree more. So-called (largely for marketing reasons) vegan butter, in common with most other spreadable margarine products, is so highly processed as to be actually unhealthy. Natural pure butter is best (preferably Irish, of course! ). For folk who can't tolerate dairy produce, why not join one of Europe's healthiest people, the Mediterraneans who enjoy pure virgin olive oil on their breads?
