I don't consider myself too superstitious, but I do a few superstitious things sometimes. I cross my fingers, because usually it feels like it helps. (Even though it probably doesn't.) I sometimes knock on wood, usually to wish someone good luck. Also, my friend once collected three four leaf clovers and one five leaf clovers in less than an hour, and nothing lucky happened to him that day. He was lucky to find them though. I'm still happy to find four leaf clovers, but I never think they are going to give me good luck. I once has a black cat named Mia. She was the cutest, sweetest cat ever. I never understood why black cats were supposed to be bad luck. My only theory is that people tripped over them at night. Mia lived a nice 18 years, and I don't remember anything bad happening to me when I was with her. I've wanted to note what day Friday the 13th was, but I keep forgetting. So since you reminded me, today I'm going to see if anything bad happens! (I also find it creepy that my sister is getting surgery today, maybe I am superstitious actually.) |
