I'm not superstitious. A message for people above who want a black cat. Do not be afraid to find room in your heart for one. I have one. And as for the other pets in my home he is a rescue, because he was about to lose his home. The person I got him from adopted him from a cat shelter so like some of my other rescues this is his third home. He is a tough hunter; keeps the chipmunks off the balcony. He is always sorry if he kills one. Sometimes unavoidable. Just a very sweet loving cat. Rescues say that black animals are the most difficult for which to find homes. I think society may be moving toward a more reality based social outlook. Because of the scientific outlook, that is more knowledgeable now. Many of the above-mentioned superstitions are interesting though. I grew up on a small farm. No sidewalks to crack. It was if the dog lies on its back with its feet up in the air a storm is on its way. Or when the leaves on the trees turn upside down rainstorms pending. Actually, most moving storms are pushing the atmosphere ahead of it into a strong wind, which blows the leaves on the trees out of their uniform state. apondia#1781748 |
