It would depend on why I'm leaving the house. I can't see leaving in a hurry unless it was a fire, at night, and already out of control in which case I would be grabbing my wife and the two dogs and exiting out the window. Even then, I'd likely get them out, hand out my phone so the fire department can be called, and then try and get the fire under control if at all possible.
