We live on a dead-end dirt road, so the only trick or treaters we get, IF we get any, are related.  I haven't dressed up the past few years, but I'm all for it! I used to dress up just for fun, even after my daughters grew up. One example: Hubby bought an old VW bus to resell one year. I dressed up as a hippie, hung beads in the side door, played Jefferson Airplane on a cassette player, and had a bag of medicinal LEGAL herbs in baggies to help stage the look, lol. I also had a bowl of candy, just in case someone stopped by, which they did not (probably a good thing, lol.) Another year, we brought the burn barrel up in front of the house, dressed up as hobos, and drank beer by the fire.  And yes, there's more. Each year we tried to think up new ideas! It was fun! |
