Depends on your HOA. Some of them ban holiday decorations up to a certain date, after which holiday decorations are mandatory, but only three strings of single-colored lights and an inflatable Rudolph on the roof.
Me, I draw a hard line at Halloween. Any winter holiday decorations appearing before Halloween should result in summary judgement and community service for the offenders. And yes, I include stores in that.
Anything in November is suspect, but less suspect as the month progresses.
December, okay.
And then if they're not down by January 7, we're back to trial and community service sentencing.
I'd make a good HOA board president, I think.
(Seriously, though, do what you want; unless you're a store that wants my business, it doesn't affect me.)
