Last summer I was sitting under some live oaks and heard a tremendous squeaking and chirping. Two tiny creatures fell to the ground, scrapping, and disappeared almost immediately. I tried to take a picture but they were too fast. As far as I could tell it was a little bird and a bright green thing which might have been a katydid, because I could hear them calling.
Have no idea why they would have been interacting. Do birds eat katydids? Do katydids mess with birds?
