I think music and stuffed animals were generally of a higher quality when I was younger. I fondly remember a lot of pop songs (and even some country songs) from up to the mid tens, but these days there's no way I'm turning on the radio. And the stuffies... Ah! Those were the days. There was a line of "sitting breed pups" from Golden Bear Co, and we'd collect them on sale at Walgreens. They were some of the most beautiful dogs. And just the other day I remembered my collection of Whimzy Pets, itsy bitsy little critters ranging from mice to turtles... We knew when a series was going downhill when they ran out of realistic ideas and would start making pink cats and purple unicorns. These days I love Squishmallows, but they get kinda boring after a while. And the trend of stuffed food objects with faces is rather baffling. Having now proven myself an eternal infant, I shall leave...  |
