Not stupid at all. You enter by making a post in this forum and including a link to the static item in your portfolio that contains your entry. Please forgive me if I'm about to over-explain, but I know this site can be confusing so I tend to err on the side of babbling.

I don't see any static items in your portfolio, so maybe start here: "How To Create an Item" 

Get a little more info on that here: "How To Upload Writing" 

That'll get your writing onto the site in your portfolio. Once you have that, it's time to come back here, and click "Post a New Message" wherein you can link your newly created item.
