Where do your political beliefs come from?
Family? Friends? Church? Work? Personal Experiences?

Family? Yes … certainly my initial leanings were established based on my parents’ beliefs.

Friends? To a certain extent, yes, but I think most people naturally tend to gravitate to people who hold similar beliefs to their own.

Church? Never

Work? Never

Personal experience? Yes. I pay attention to how a variety of groups are impacted by our political system, and if I believe they are being targeted or treated unfairly, that absolutely will impact my position. I also rely on the expertise of historical and legal scholars.
