Take up Your Cross

Fear..sometimes it's always there..how do we defeat it? You know some fear is good for us..it reminds us to stay safe in our coming and going.

It is when we let fear take over our lives that it becomes debilitating. I've struggled with it over my lifetime..I'm 75 and I don't think you ever truly get rid of it.

When it shows it's ugly head..we must decide if we are going to let fear rule or are we going to take control. Can we take control of our fear..not by ourselves we can't. We need help and our help is right there waiting for us..Jesus said to not be afraid for He is with us. He always is..we just have to realize that. I like the verse..'what time I am afraid I will trust in Thee.' I say this over and over and the fear looses it's grip. Other times I just say His name..Jesus..Jesus..Jesus. He is always there..He is all we will ever need. When those nagging doubts bring on the fear..just call on Jesus and He will take it away..if only you believe.
