Mostly what says in the title. While there are a lot of clubs in school, very few have been explored in detail. There seems to be a "Publications" club but to my knowledge it hasn't come into relevance at any point within the story. I feel that might be the group that would handle a newspaper, but that doesn't mean it gathers all the (would-be) reporters. I'm asking this because of certain reasons that have made me consider the reach of a journalist (for a school newspaper or otherwise) when combined with a power that lets you transform into others and infiltrate. Because newspapers (or social media pages) can shape the opinions of its readers (or followers), it begs the question of how much power someone who could transform into others (to infiltrate their circles, as mentioned otherwise) or create incredibly realistic decoys could work to create stories that may manipulate the opinions of students. I do know that opinions are mostly spread through gossip (sp. the fictional social media that often sprouts around whose name I often forget), but I was wondering about the very effect of a newspaper, official or otherwise, that could provide Will with a face that could easily blend into places while having an excuse. (Doesn't need to be accepted at places - just say "I need to ask a few questions for the newspaper" and then shove up a mask and then say you'll talk at some other time because they suddenly fainted.) This could be an interesting approach to usual masking shenanigans, since it provides a clear access to most places in school you'd be prevented otherwise, but just as importantly, it could provide a variety of different mentalities if the secret was kept within that group. (Think of Carlos and Mike and how they use the masks to have the "cheerleaders" appear in their videos as guests, but with the power to spread gossip.) This isn't exactly a request or anything, but just curious about whether such a group exists, would otherwise exist, or whether it could be invented. (Doesn't have to be a newspaper; it could be a small group calling themselves "journalists" while having a glorified gossip show posted somewhere in YouTube, only accessed through a certain page.) And if it doesn't, suggest it as a possible idea for Seuzz to develop. |
