Have you recently made changes to the Word Searches? I created one for ⱲєbⱲitϚћ is 18's 18th birthday and I included "I" in there twice. It appeared in the puzzle twice and was no problem. When she did the puzzle, she didn't mention it not being listed twice, so I assumed it was. I sent an email to ask. Maybe she's familiar enough she knows all the tricks, which is quite likely. But then Tiggy did Review of "For My WdC Mom"  and mentioned having trouble getting it to solve. I went and worked on the puzzle. I tried the puzzle twice. Both times "I" was found only once in the puzzle but when I found it, it crossed off both words below. Keep in mind, there were multiple opportunities for this word to be in the puzzle. (I had created a puzzle within a puzzle. You also unscrambled the words from the word search to make a sentence. That's why I used this word twice -- because I'm not creative enough to be able to work around it in exactly 25 words. lol) However, though both words were crossed off, when all the other words were crossed off, the puzzle didn't turn green, confusing my puzzle solver. I'm not sure if Tiggy clicked the "I" they found a second time, but they did say they clicked all the I's, if I recall. Maybe they meant all the other ones or they meant to and missed this one? IDK. But I clicked the one that was the solution and it did solve the problem. However, it would likely confuse most puzzle solvers. IDK if it is by chance that I got 2 I's on my puzzle and, if she did, too (IDK yet), ⱲєbⱲitϚћ is 18 did as well, or if there's been a recent update. But at the very least, if all the words are crossed off, the puzzle should be considered solved and the solver shouldn't have to go back and re-click words again. (One could also argue that the person creating the puzzle shouldn't put the same word in there twice, but was there a set of instructions detailing this? I didn't see that.) But ideally, I would like the word to show up twice if it's in there twice. Thank you!  |
