I was wrongly accused of 3 things that could have gotten me serious jail time and would have ruined my life but I will give you the the worst accusation. When I was 16 years old in 1973. I was involved with the Martial Arts at the time and we went to Kansas for a Tournament and Exhibition. When I returned home after 3 weeks away, I was accused of arson of all things. It was just an ornery neighbor who lived across the street and hated kids/young teens or for that matter everyone. He called the police and pointed the finger at me and I'm like what the hell is this about. He even showed them the burned area, which was MY PARENTS HOME!! I was yelling, it couldn't be me, I wasn't even here for the last three weeks. Which one officer looked at me and said, ok. I took it as being blown off because I was a young teen. They took this !@##$$ report and started questioning me after that. The best part is when his whole story fell apart once I showed the police all my travel documents which I handed over readily. When someone knows they are innocent you don't evade or distract/refuse to work with the police. You're going to do everything you can to clear up your name and reputation. Once they confirmed the documents showed what I was saying, I was in the clear but they did follow up with my Karate school and they validated everything as well as the airline. I had other parents and their kids along with all the instructors with the head of the school as witnesses. And Karma does work, they got him for making a false report and a few months later, it came out that it was actually him, that were trying to set the fires. One house burned down diagonally from where I lived. Just one of them dangerous persons you watch on those cable or TV shows. Oh and yes it was because of him that the house burned down. We knew everyone who lived there but all got out alive. Thank God. |
