When I finished on Friday I had one project: Twosoe. It's been growing stale for the better part of a year but I still haven't given up on it. I worked on it some last week in hopes of rekindling it. Then, this weekend I was letting the mind wander and I deliberately came up with the most predictable plot ever. Yet when I looked at it, it might be predictable but it's still good. Then I had the idea of making it a sequel to a novel I've already competed. Now I had the plot, the characters, the setting, and I didn't have to spend a year researching, as it's familiar ground. An hour later I had written an outline and half of chapter one. So this weeks goal is simple - go bleed on the keyboard, develop this idea, and see if it's still exciting when I'm writing it instead of just daydreaming.
