Review: THE HOUSE AT DEVIL'S NECK, Book Four of Tom Mead's engrossing Series A JOSEPH SPECTOR MYSTERY, is maximally puzzling, riveting, spooky, and entertaining. Encased fully in the mode of Classic Golden-Age Mystery, this Mystery will keep readers attuned and breathless as its course of two jam-packed days (August 31-September 1, 1939) in London and on a windswept, isolated, island in the North Sea, off the coast of Essex, England, unfolds with bullet-speed motion. Not a wasted moment, motion, or clue will be found here. Author Tom Mead interweaves Magic (Illusion), Alchemy, Paranormal, with greed, deception, and clever covert planning, laying a trail which readers delight to follow. This is my first read in this Series, although it is the fourth, but I definitely plan to devour the first three plus any future mysteries.
