When we first move to our home along the water, we were city dwellers. Then we heard it for the first time, it was the weirdest sound I've ever heard.
It turned out that it was the yelping/screaming of a "Red Fox." In the city we only saw birds of prey. Mostly Falcons.
I have a female Red Fox [Vixen] who comes by every morning and yelps for me sitting under the window. She's truly become a friend but I know enough that it being a wild animal, it's not to be approached. I admire these creatures from a distance and yes whatever leftover foods I have that I would normally toss away, I feed to her.
