The green beans were good but you can also do the same with fresh sliced tomato's and I forgot we'd add a bit of parsley as well.
Well growing up in an Italian household [both of us] we always had garlic. My wife use to make weird faces at me when I'd eat the cloves raw...lol I still do. It is a bitter taste to them but I still had one or two cloves when she was peeling and slicing them.
We'd put garlic in practically anything that called for it and some things that didn't. We were raised on having garlic in our foods. I just love the flavoring it adds which compliments everything else.
