I added 200 or so words. WC is about 1,650. I tweaked the title.

I decided on footnotes because one reader had trouble with popnotes and I didn't like the dropnotes. I feel though that footnotes are necessary for this multi-cultural story that will be read in English by readers not familiar with either culture.
