I prefer the cooler to colder air as well because of the reasons you mentioned. Our summers on the Upper East Cost can be brutal. Lots of pollen dust, air quality sucks. We get the Canadian smoke and some from our own western wildfires. It really messes up being outside. Then we can get hit with the Sahara Sands that travel across the Atlantic hitting the East Coast first and finds its way to Texas.

You have yourself quite the list there and all mapped out on the months for each place you visited outside of the last one you mentioned. Happy you get to enjoy all those different areas.
