Hello. I think I'm finally at a point where I'd like to self-publish. I've tried the traditional route with no luck and I can either sit on my manuscripts or publish them myself. If you have self-published in the US, I would appreciate any advice you could offer.

Specifically, I'd like to know:

1. Which self-publishing companies are the best?
-Which are easiest to use?
-Which have the broadest reach and exposure?
-Which has the best customer service and support?
-Which offers a fair royalty?
-In general, I'd like to know what your experience has been with self publishing and the companies you've worked with.

2. Should I begin by getting my ISBN number first and is Bowker THE place to get it in the US for this?

3. Is there anything I should watch out for with self-publishing?
