Yes! I second Anders J. Skeleton-Now What? journaling idea, too. When I'm not feeling it, I either bail and come back to it later, or something I start a stream-of-consciousness ramble that probably starts out something like, "What the heck is wrong with my brain? Why am I tired again. Why can't I focus. Just not feeling it. Is this character just stupid, or boring, or is the whole plot boring? I keep thinking about my (fill-in-the-blank = other book series) world like my characters want to be in that world, but I wanted to build something new this year, but maybe if (new character name) was the descendent of (old character name), or maybe if they lived in parallel universes? ......"
...and the next thing you know, I'm brainstorming again. It's not always that quick - or clean, lol - but I kept it brief and 13+ for the forum.
