I don't think I had a favorite costume. My parents were way too stingy to buy one, and not nearly creative enough to make an interesting one for me. Not that they didn't try, and we certainly weren't one of those anti-Halloween families, but I remember being embarrassed by whatever I was wearing most years. Which usually involved a white sheet with holes cut out for the eyes, like in Charlie Brown.
My parents did have the self-awareness to ensure it looked like a ghost and not a Klansman, so there's that, at least.
