I still have enough months on my subscription (the only one so far I've paid with GPs, thanks to all I've accumulated so far), but I get what it means. For starters, I had a bit of contact with Seuzz after he stopped posting stuff, and it was something tangentially related to BoM (specifically to TWS, but it has repercussions for BoM as well), so I could confidently say that BoM is in his mind. I'm of the thought that BoM as a project can be draining, especially when you try to post daily stuff but you don't feel a lot of interest in many of the stories. That, and it can be draining because of conflicts*. * I say that because (and I feel kinda awkward for mentioning this) because I had one recently, and the resolution was so awkward that I feel silly that it even happened at first, but handling it must've been awkward for the other side as well. I still want to continue the TWS story with Will joining the Stellae under the guise of Jeffrey, but I had to iron down some big issues. I'm at a point where I could work on it, but I'll admit I don't feel very comfortable doing it solo - at least, that portion of the story. As I wait for a better moment to handle that story, I've been working on a side project with another Interactive (and I apologize if this feels like shameless self-promotion), which I've tried to maintain daily. Though I procure having a buffer for at least three weeks, sometimes you don't feel like writing anything, or your ideas just want to go to other projects, or you just simply want to do something else. (That usually divides into "watching YouTube" and "playing Tactics Ogre: Reborn - that Palace of the Dead won't be finished by itself, and that last half of the megadungeon is starting to get a little complicated.) In my opinion? Seuzz is distracted with something. It usually happens - it's either a new Civ game, or a bunch of books, and that causes him to be away for long. The AI stuff may be what's distracting him, especially with imaj using it as a a helper for a project. BoM still has stories to tell, but it can be intimidating with the structure it has - you can't twist it into a story about wearing animals, for example, and even trying to steer it beyond high school can be complicated. Most importantly, the stories it can tell can't depend on Seuzz alone - or in his direction, in any case. I feel that's the key to maintaining the Interactive - realize this can't be the job of a single individual. I'm always open for a Round Robin if you guys want, but just know that I'm working on that other Interactive and it might slow things down. |
