I suppose I should add my own answer to the mix *Smile*

What turns me off are things happening physically that are plain silly. I read one story in which the guy's penis was whipping in and out of various female orifices so fast that I was sure the poor guy would end up with penis 'whiplash'.

Simply said, whatever makes me stop reading and say to myself 'that's utterly impossible' is what turns me off.
