This choice: Can you send me to different places instantly?  •  Go Back...
Chapter #4

Can you send me to different places instantly?

    by: scriptboy Author IconMail Icon
Jared couldn’t believe it. One minute, he was his old, ordinary, skinny self. Then, Drew just made a casual comment about Jared looking like a teenage bodybuilder and then, suddenly, out of nowhere… All of Jared’s muscles began to inflate, causing Jared to grow into a teen bodybuilder within just a few seconds, just like Drew had mentioned!

Drew stared at Jared for a moment where he suddenly realized that he had gained some strange, alien power, which allowed him to change, control and manipulate absolutely everything and anything about Jared, who was his nerdy, shy, timid and introverted best friend.

“DUDE! I’m starting to sense all these things about you! I feel that I can do anything! I see, hear and feel everything about you. I can change you and move you!” Drew uttered.

“Uhh… Wow… I mean… That would be great, considering how much I hate riding the school bus in the morning and walking to soccer practice in the afternoon…. That would be great if you could just put me there instantly!” Jared just blurted out, not totally believing what Drew had said a moment ago.

“Well, I can send you to school in your school clothes right now, with you wearing a t-shirt and jeans and a backpack!” Drew grinned. “Off you go!”

“What? But school’s already…--” Jared began.

PING!

With that said, Jared vanished into thin air, disappearing from Drew’s bedroom in an instant!

“Ohmygosh! I did it! I really REALLY did it!” Drew gasped. “I sent him to school! Of course, school’s already over. Oh man… He’ll be so pissed, being at school all by himself! Oh, no! I better make this up to him!”

Drew thought for a minute.

“Uhhhh…. I got it! I’ll send him to the soccer field instead! Yeah, he’ll like that! I want Jared to be at the soccer field at the park down the street, dressed in full soccer gear, with jersey, shorts and his cleats… And a ball! Right now!” Drew said out loud.

Of course, it was quiet. Nothing happened in Drew’s bedroom.

“How do I know he’s really there? Can I see him? Hmm… Maybe if I just calm down and close my eyes…” Drew said, as he forced himself to calm down and he took a deep breath.

Drew closed his eyes and concentrated on Jared with his eyes closed. Then, he caught a faint vision of Jared, walking on the grass field, looking down at the ball between his feet. Another boy was there, asking him to kick the ball to him. They were kicking the ball back and forth for a few minutes.

“Ah! It worked! He’s at the park playing soccer with some other guy!” Drew smiled. “Okay… Uhh… Let’s have him come back over here to my bedroom, right now!”

PING!

Jared vanished from the soccer field!

POP!

Jared appeared back in Drew’s bedroom, kicking the soccer ball under Drew’s bed.

“HEY! What the--? I’m not in the park anymore!” Jared gasped. He looked around and realized he was no longer on the soccer field.

“Welcome back, dude! I sent you back to my bedroom!” Drew laughed. “Did you have fun?”

“Uhh, yeah… Except for being all alone at school! I was standing in the hallway and there was nobody else there! That was no fun at all! And then, all of the sudden, I was at the park wearing my soccer clothes!” Jared explained.

“Awesome! It worked! I was able to send you from here to school, and from school to the soccer field, changing your clothes twice!” Drew smiled widely. “That is so cool that I’m able to do that!”

“Uhh… And you did it fast, too! I didn’t feel anything! I was walking around school when suddenly, in a split second, I was walking on the soccer field wearing my cleats! I barely noticed the change!” Jared shrugged.

“I love that! I can teleport you anywhere I want, dude! Don’t you love that?” Drew laughed.

“Well… Uhh… It’s kinda cool and scary at the same time when I don’t know where you’re gonna send me next…” Jared said sadly.

“Don’t worry, bro! I’ll only send you places we both know well!” Drew chuckled. “Unless you wanna play soccer at some soccer place in another country!”

“Oh, wow! You can do that? Send me to another country?” Jared wondered.

Drew got behind his laptop and looked up soccer stadiums on the internet. He found a photo of a large soccer stadium in England.

“Oh whoa! Look at that! The place is huge!” Jared just swooned over it.

“It’s in Liverpool! Why don’t you visit the stadium, right now?” Drew giggled.

PING!

Jared disappeared again, popping up at the large soccer stadium in Liverpool. Of course, it was very late at night in England!

POP!

“Oh wow! I’m here!” Jared sighed, as he stood all alone in the quiet soccer stadium. “I can’t believe I’m here, in England!”

Jared too his cell phone and took a picture of the inside of the stadium. Just in time too, as Drew made him come home again.

PING!

Jared vanished from the soccer stadium.

POP!

As soon as Jared popped up in Drew’s room, Drew asked him how his trip was.

“I took a picture of the soccer stadium, see?” Jared grinned, showing Drew the picture he had just taken, thousands of miles away, in England.

“Dude! Do you realize I can make you go anywhere? I can send you to any place and I can change your clothes? I can make you wear soccer or baseball clothes or anything else! This is just epic!” Drew assured. “Why, I can make you hang suspended a foot above the ground!”

“Uhh… Just don’t go overboard with this teleporting thing, okay? Just--- AAAAH!” Jared screamed as his body started to rise up twelve inches above the ground.

“Ha ha ha ha! I can also move you around and make you levitate in the air, dude!” Drew chortled loudly. “And I can make you hover and float above the ground!”

“D-D-Drew… Please d-d-don’t do anything crazy! Don’t h-h-hurt m-m-me!” Jared stuttered as he began to tremble with fear, realizing how powerful his best friend had become.

Jared hung helplessly in mid air, with his soccer cleats dangling a foot above the ground as Drew magically kept his entire body suspended in mid-air, just by saying a few words!

“H-h-how long do I need to stay here?” Jared asked him meekly.

“Hey, I’ll set you down in a few. Just get used to me teleporting you and making you float! This way, you don’t have to wear yourself out by walking around! I just make you float to get to places! Come, let’s get a drink in the kitchen!” Drew replied.

Drew got up from his chair and he started walking towards his bedroom. He waved his hand, allowing Jared’s body to float behind him. Jared never needed to walk or run after him. He just glided through the air, with his cleats dangling above the ground. Jared just floated behind Drew as Drew casually walked to the kitchen and two cold cans of soda out of the refrigerator.

“Here, have a drink, bro!” Drew smiled, handing Jared a can.

Jared realized that Drew was trying to make him feel comfortable with him having all these crazy powers over him.

“So, how does it feel, just floating around in the air?” Drew chuckled, as he leaned against the kitchen counter while he looked up at Jared, who was hovering the air in front of him.

“This… It’s weird! I mean… I can’t even walk! My feet don’t touch the floor. I can’t do anything! I’m just hanging in the air!” Jared shrugged.

“Don’t worry, Jared. I’m in complete control!” Drew smiled, as he took another sip from his soda.

“So, what are you gonna do to me, now?” Jared asked him.

“I dunno. Let me think about it. I just want you to get used to being teleported by me, and to feel good about floating and levitating in the air. Plus, I need to practice my powers on your a bit more!” Drew sighed.

“Oh… So, I guess I’m staying like this? Floating in the air?” Jared wondered.

“Oh, yes! Your feet won’t touch the floor for the rest of the day!” Drew assured him. “You will be teleported and you’ll be levitating all day long!”

“Oh, wow…” Jared rolled his eyes.

“Better get used to it!” Drew laughed. "I can make you levitate from now on and nobody will even find it strange at all, not even anyone at school nor the teachers in school and your mom at home!"

What does Drew do, next?
