You get up and head for the bathrooms. Considering the people in this town, it's hardly surprising that the halls and doors are unusually wide compared to elsewhere. At the last moment, you turn in the direction of the ladies bathroom. Inside waiting for you is the waitress who gave you the note.
"You wanted to see me?" you ask.
"Yes. I'll get straight to the point. This town is cursed and we're the few who are exempt from it. We think that having an outsider join us could help break the curse."
"What's the catch?"
"The catch is that you'll have to undergo a gender flip. Once that's complete, you'll be exempt from the weight-gain curse and we'll explain more about the situation to you."
"What if I refuse?"
"You'll step out that door and forget everything connected to the note I slipped you."
So, possibly break a curse at the price of your masculinity and save a town while not having to worry about getting fat, or go back to working on your own to solve the mystery.
In their own way, each option has its appeal, but which one to pick?
