It's been a few years since Link had to do any adventuring. In fact, ever since he killed Ganondorf, Midna returned to the Twilight Realm and the Bulblins made peace with the rest of Hyrule, nothing horrible has happened. That is, until shortly after Link and Zelda turned twenty.
Two weeks ago, people have been randomly disappearing without a trace. No one has been recovered yet, and the denizens of Hyrule began to fear that Queen Zelda would not be safe even in the rebuilt castle (designed with security in mind this time). Link's travels brought him first to the desert, where he interrogated King Bulblin and his tribe. He translated Link's questions into the Bulblin language that sounds like growls and snarls, but no one knew anything about the missing people. Indeed, some of their own men and women were missing as well. The Bulblins, however, did know about a tower that appeared in the Eldin Provence just outside of Kakariko village. No one could enter it, however, as three keys are required to enter the tower. Naturally, Link traversed the land, battling monsters, crawling through dungeons and collecting the three keys.
On his travels, the second dungeon to be exact, Link found out who was behind all this, for the villain was standing in the boss chamber instead of what Link was expecting to be some sort of fire-themed foe. The man was gaunt and dressed in drab grey robes with a dark brown trim. Creepy nature aside, he at least acted polite, though that was, the mad admitted, because he was the one making the people disappear. The only information Link could get out of him was his name...Ekmar. Naturally, the two fought, but Link dealt with worse in the past, and easily defeated Ekmar, who teleported away. Now with all three keys collected, Link rushed to the tower to defeat Ekmar and recover all the lost people!
Upon entering the tower, Link defeated a few of the usual monsters and solved a few of the usual puzzles. Honestly, it was all routine by this point. Aside from a few more Stalfos and Lizalfos, nothing was out of the ordinary about this dungeon tower. Link simply chalked up the enemy ratio to personal preference and moved on. Despite having a bit of trouble with a Darknut surrounded by lizards and skeletons, Link made his way through the dungeon and at last, entered the boss chamber.
"Link! I'm actually surprised you made it here THIS early! Honestly, I thought I had a few more days to run like-no matter. You know how this goes. I cast my spells, you swing your sword, and one of us is defeated. Ready?"
"Enough of your games, Sorcerer! This time, you aren't getting away!"
It was a fierce battle, and both combatants tool a lot of damage, but in the end...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
