This choice: Go back to bed and wait until the morning • Go Back...Chapter #5Starting the Morning with Fizz Light by: Little King Kim looked at her alarm clock on her dresser. “It’s three in the morning,” she yawned. “Sorry stomach, but you’ll have to wait in the morning.”
Her stomach growled again; sounds like it wasn’t willing to simply back down.
She sighed, “Listen if I promised to have Fizz Light before breakfast, will you let me go back to sleep?” She heard a soft, quiet gurgle radiate from her stomach, complying with her proposition. “Thank you,” Kim replied as she laid back in her bed and return to her slumber.
The following morning, Kim woke up groggily to the sound of her blaring alarm clock. Annoyed, she slammed the snooze button, silencing the device. “I really but need to lower the volume on that thing,” she muttered. “But at least it’s Friday, which means no classes for me.”
After freshening up in her bathroom, Kim picked out her outfit consisting of dark blue jeans, gray shoes, and a black polo shirt. “There we go, all dressed up and ready to start the day. Now let’s get some Fizz Light,” she said before grabbing her purse and car keys and headed out of her apartment.

“Wave graphics, wave graphics…,” muttered Kim. She kept her eyes peeled for the soda machine containing that delicious Fizz Light. “You can’t hide from me, soda machine. I will get my Fizz Light before… Ah ha! Found You!” Kim ran towards the contraption with eager steps. Inserting three quarters into the machine, she pushed the Fizz Light button and out came the desired drink. With a pop of the tab, she gulped the beverage in record time.
“Ahhh, somehow it tasted even better than the ones from yesterday. *Hic!* Excuse me! Guess it had a bigger kick than usual,” Kim sheepishly giggled. Before tossing the can away, she was stopped by an odd sensation in her stomach. “Probably just pent-up gas,” she reasoned, considering the last time she drank Fizz Light. However, that wasn’t the case as Kim was caught off guard by her stomach… indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
