The crocodile woke up and found that it could not move its legs or open its mouth. It also found that it could not move its body with the exception of its tail. There was also something covering its eyes and it could not see a thing.
It tried to thrash about and get loose. Nothing budged. Its tail moved fine but that was it. The crocodile did not notice that its thick tail had crushed the work crews that were trying to secure its tail. The crocodile started to panic and then remembered that it could shrink or grow out of its bonds. It did not want to shrink since it may become even more vulnerable to such traps. So it began to grow.
The humans that had been gathered around the crocodile's body began to flee its expanding body. The growth was to fast for many and they were crushed beneath the expanding crocodile. That also went unnoticed by the crocodile, it was just happy that its restraints began to snap. The crocodile stopped its growth when it was 1600 feet long and the blind folds fell from its eyes.
The crocodile noticed some fleeing humans and quickly snapped them up. It wondered if they had been responsible for restraining it but quickly dismissed that notion. It was ridiculous to think that such puny creatures could do that to itself.
The increase in size left it hungry again. It was time to feed. The crocodile went in search of another food source.
