Susan had picked up a bottle of Belly Blaster at a local diet seminar a friend had talked her into. It was supposed to crank your metabolism to 11 to just melt away your excess fat. It claimed to not even need to be paired with diet or exercise changes. Too bad she didn't hear about the recall on it, it wasn't dangerous just counterproductive as it bottomed out your metabolism instead.
She went about her days as normal, confident that her pills would make her thin. Ok, maybe she didn't watch what she ate quite as closely as she should have. And maybe she snacked with Mary more than usual. But what really drove home that the pills weren't working was her night out with Rebecca.
She was feeling good about her weight loss method as she was getting ready. Sure she had accidentally shrunk the dress she wanted to wear, but her back up outfit was just fine. The shorts still fit and had a bit of room now, and the shirt was fine, maybe a little snug but it had been a bit tighter when she and Greg had bought the matching outfits last year.
She met up with Rebecca at the Belt Buster Buffet. Becky had arrived in a cute sun dress that hugged her figure, it was a touch too tight but not so much that it was outlining her rolls. They went in and ordered the buffet with waiter service. Being able to pick what she wanted and have a personal waiter go get it was a godsend. She didn't have to keep getting up and when she came with the kids she didn't have to move to let the kids out very often. All she had to do was punch her desires into a tablet and the waiter brought it. Tonight's waiters were a pair of cute chubby girls who obviously enjoyed the food here, one of the girls shirts had ridden up enough to give a glimpse of her belly.
