Looking for more Cupcakes

The Cupcake just tasted too good, he had to find more, so Eric went Further into the house, he had to fix the kitchen, there had to be more cupcakes somewhere. So Eric, following the scent of more food headed of towards the Kitchen.

Sure enough as Eric reached the kitchen the overpowering scent reaching its strongest point, drawing Eric towards more. Soon enough he had found a whole plate stacked with them, he grabbed a couple and began to eat, growing larger with each bite, with a further inflating belly which was getting hungrier with each bite, developing a further craving for them, but how many did he eat?
