From the front door walked a slim girl with long flowing red hair. Her purple top and skirt hugged her curves tightly, heightening the young ladies appeal. Her green eyes wandered over the restaurant and its patrons. What stood out about her the most to Jon was her tanned orange skin.
“May I show you to your table, Starfire?” Jon said politely, as he held a menu tightly at his side.
“How do you know my name?” The colorful member of the animated series the Teen Titans asked, looking at Jon curiously. She was quiet hungry, but this human was interesting, maybe he could explain to her why she was suddenly so hungry and felt the need to eat another person.
Jon groaned, he’d forgotten the first rule, none of the characters knew they weren’t real. Straitening himself up and mentally reminding himself to watch what he said next time, Jon pointed towards an empty table where Starfire could be seated. “That’s not important, you have a table waiting and a meal that isn’t getting any younger.”
“You’re right, I mustn’t let my meal wait,” Starfire said with a wide grin. She hadn’t even realized what she had said, all that mattered to the hungry alien was filling her stomach with something that wiggled. Jon smiled slightly at seeing Starfire forget about his blunder. He’d forgotten how easily distracted the female hero was in the cartoon. He walked towards Starfire’s table, with the girl trailing behind him holding her stomach. She’d suddenly felt a jolt of hunger pain and now felt even more famished. When she got to her table she took her seat and received her menu from Jon. He went back to the entrance to wait for the next customer, who would hopefully be as easy to manage as Starfire.
“Ooohhhhh, look at all the people,” Starfire gleefully said to herself, eyeing all the different people she could chose from. The boys looked so meaty and the girls were so soft and appetizing. She wanted to look at the pictures some more, study their faces and tantalize over how yummy they all must be, but her hunger was growing and she knew she had to order.
“The redheaded human female looks nice,” she said, then read the name, Gwen Tennyson. There was a strange note beside her picture saying something about being from ‘Ben 10’. Starfire didn’t understand what that meant, but as long as it didn’t make the girl taste yucky, she didn’t care.
“Are you ready to order?” Starfire turned to Bunny, who was looking over her shoulder with a big smile. Starfire stopped to think, would she settle for this redheaded female called ‘Gwen’ as her meal?
