Jon recognizes James Tiberius Kirk because during his childhood he would watch the original Star Trek series every week. "Hello sir," said Jon. It was a great difficulty to keep himself from blurting out his admiration for Captain Kirk but it would be against cafe rules. The characters weren't allowed to know they were supposed to be unreal.
"The same to you," said Captain Kirk with a wave.
"May I lead you to your seat?"
"Yes."
"Do you want a public table or a private booth?"
