Slimy But Satisfying

Kiara had expected the beetle to taste bad, but it didn't. The taste was odd, not bad but not really nice either, just strangely enticing. Curious now, she reached for the second bug, a type of grub this time, and this one was tasty. The third one she tried was so sour she spat it out, but the fourth fifth and sixth were all pretty good.

"How was that," Timon asked when Kiara had finished.

"Not that bad actually," Kiara replied, "I mean, they're not very big, but kinda tasty."

"Like I said, don't knock 'em till you've tried 'em princess," Timon said with a grin.
