Hitsugaya sighed in annoyance as he waited in one of the sterile rooms of the 12th Division of the Soul Reapers. His eye twitched as he thought about all the paper work he had building up, and he knew that his lieutenant with her giant fun-bags was behind it somehow. For some reason, Nemu, the 12th Division lieutenant had contacted him to tell him that it was necessary he get some kind of vaccination for a hollow related disease.
“We’re spirits, how can we even get sick…” he muttered, as thoughts of his fellow white-haired captain, Ukitake came to mind. Normally he wouldn’t even be concerned, but a rather amusing fun fact was that he absolutely despised needles. For all his centuries, he had the child-like fear of needles and it annoyed him immensely. Notwithstanding the fact his ice attacks could also involve needles. He swore he heard Hyorinmaru laughing at him. “We could be dealing with Aizen’s recent coup, or my paperwork, but no, need a stupid needle!!”
His musing was interrupted as the stoic lieutenant of Mayuri walked in, carrying a needle and vial with her. His heart skipped a beat, but he did his best to keep his face neutral. “Hello, Captain Hitsugaya, we’re here to give you your Soul Pox vaccine, since our records show that you never received it.”
“Soul Pox? I’ve never heard of that one.” Hitsugaya countered, eyebrow raised out of suspicion. He’d been captain for a while, but even he had never heard of that one.
“Most people usually have their vaccinations as in infant, so they rarely do, but due to your late coming to the Gotei 13 due to living in Rukongai, you’d never received it. So if you could kindly roll up your sleeve. This should be fast.” Nemu replied as she inserted the needle into the vial, and withdrew the serum within.
Her mind flashbacked to a strange request from her supervisor in the Shinigami Women’s Association, and coincidentally Hitsugaya’s Lieutenant, Rangiku. She’d had a very strange dream, something about Soul Society in ruins, return of Quincy’s, and an adult Hitsugaya. One who was sexy enough that Rangiku just couldn’t wait to see it, so she put in a special request to Nemu in exchange for a favor.
So after some searching, Nemu found an old experiment from Mayuri’s files. Serum XH-19, which offered some promised growth and maturity. After finding the proper serum, she immediately put the call to Hitsugaya. However, she failed to read that Mayuri abandoned the serum due to its instability and unable to produce consistent results, not limited to hypertrophy of the skeletal, muscular, and reproductive structures.
Applying a tourniquet to Hitsugaya’s arm and sterilizing it, she tapped the syringe to get the air bubbles out of it. She saw Hitsugaya tensed up, so she asked Hitsugaya how paperwork was going. “AGh, I wish that I could catch up. Every time I think I’m getting close, Rangiku always finds some way to make me get behind!” He ranted.
“And done!” Nemu said, as she wiped it down and applied a bandage.
“Wait, wha-? It’s done!” Hitsugaya looked on confusedly, he didn’t feel anything at all. Nemu smiled, rare on her face, since most people usually had that reaction.
“Please refrain from strenuous activity, and have a good day Captain Hitsugaya.”

Walking on, Hitsugaya was still fairly annoyed with his lieutenant, and as he was heading to back to the barracks, and thinking of his paperwork, decided to simply screw it. Heading towards the Senkaimon, he quickly had the Kido Corps apply his seal, and left towards the real world.
He figured he might as well tour Karakuri town, and went exploring since it was familiar, finding some curious and weird things, along with some shops with “toys” he figured Rangiku needed. He’d better note that…
As he explored though, he quickly found himself very uncomfortable, adjusting his clothes every now and then, since a weird heat had seized him suddenly. He wiped his brow of sweat, which he found very unusual, since he rarely got hot. He was usually cold as a matter of fact. “Did that shot have something to do with this…” He muttered, as it was starting to get disorienting.
He was getting more and more sluggish, and it was harder and harder to remember where he was. He couldn’t stay out though, he’d be a target for hollows, which meant… only one person he could rely on.
*Ding-dong!*
Ichigo wiped his eyes of sleep, wondering who the hell was ringing the doorbell so early in the morning. “What the hell, it’s 8 in the morning!” He was not a morning person. Opening the door, his eyes widened as he saw it was Hitsugaya! “Oy, what are you doing here!” He quickly reacted when he saw his face was flushed, and it wasn’t from alcohol. “Oy oy!” He shouted as Hitsugaya collapsed, “Karin, get dad, now!”
====1 hour later====
Hitsugaya grunted as he found himself laying in some bed, probably Ichigo’s, and slowly but surely got up. He had a splitting headache, and everything was disoriented. A myriad of colors was assaulting his eyes, making everything absolutely hard to register. His body feeling a little strange, he gradually made out the door and headed towards it.
