Noctis and his three friends/bodyguards were driving through the lush wetland filled Duscae in the dark of night. The headlights of the sleek Regalia guiding their way in the time of Daemon manifestation. Ignis driving the car as Gladiolus and Noctis relax in the back, all four up and ready in case of a Daemon attack. "Best hurry to the Chocobo stable Iggy. I wanna pet some Chocobos!" The cheerful Prompto smiled as he began humming the Chocobo theme.
"Specs is driving as fast as possible. Don't want to drive too fast or we'll miss the caravan near it." Dark haired Noct told the energetic blonde.
"Indeed. I'll even need to prepare our dinner when we arrive. We don't need you drooling over the poor birds like they'd make a good meal." Ignis chastised Prompto.
"Besides we should get some shut eye when we arrive. Never know when the empire will attack." The rugged, tattooed Gladiolus grumbled in his deep voice.
"I am offended you would think I'd do such a thing. Chocobos are too cute."
"Chocobo chicks are very adorable." Noct mused.
"Indeed they are."
A sleek, ethereal spaceship, unseen by the traveling comrades below floated above the Duscae road on this night. A beam of light descended from the ship down upon the dark plains, enveloping the four and the Regalia as they unintentionally drove into it. Soft warmth washing over them.
An endless void of light filled their vision, the four becoming alert as to what had happend.
"What the heck is this?" Noctis shielded his eyes as he was engulfed in a void of light.
"No idea" Ignis slowed the car down to a crawl, unable to see anything beyond the light. He didn't know whether to keep going forward or not.
"Why'd you slow down? If you keep going we might get out of here!?" Prompto felt nervous. Something bizarre about the light unsettled him.
"Think of it this way. Whatever is going on with this light will keep the Daemons out." Gladiolus was not taken to this light either, but protection from Daemons in this state was a bight side to it.
"Can't even sleep." Noctis grumbled as he tried to rest, but the light annoyed his closed eyes.
Thankfully, the light began to slowly disappear, outlines of the horizon taken shape in the dark. The ship above, unseen and unnoticed, finished its unknown objective, and flew off beyond the Star's domain.
