Jack had worked on so many antighost inventions over the years that they started to pile up and take up too much space on his lab. And one day of summer his tidier wife Maddie finally got fed up and told him to get ride of the unsuccessful ones (like the 90% of them).
But Jack was a hoarder and couldn't throw away his beloved experiments (which he still expected to end up successful one day)...
...so he decided to hide them all around the house: the soul-catcher went to the attic, the ecto-bomb was hidden under her daughter's bed, the fentom visor inside the WC tank... the list was endless.
But only one is important for this story: The Ghost Repelent, a liquid created to weakened or destroy spirits, but like many other of his inventions had the opposite effect, strengthening and sometimes blowing up phantoms.
Danny had to use a bottle once to re-stabilize his female clon, Danielle, who was melting away due to Vlad's poor cloning tech. After that it was forgotten until this day, as Danny's father filled an empty big bottle of Cola with it to hide it inside the fridge. And then it was forgotten again.
Hours later, his son arrived visibly depressed. A few days before his almost-girlfriend Sam confessed she had found a true boyfriend (Justin Viever, a stupid pop start who recently had become an singing emo). Also the summer were almost over, and soon he would have to bear Dash's bulling and boring classes.
He did what any other teenager would do... drown his sorrows in a glass of cola.
He didn't even notice that cola had a suspicious green tone...
"Mmmm... delicious! From now on, I'll only drink this brand.
