Shotgun

You cross the room in three frantic steps and start digging through the closet for the shotgun, you remember a war vet in town telling you once that a shotgun was the best for indoors fighting. you find the gun and grab a box of shells and spill then out onto the bed. you start loading them in just as you hear a thump on the other side of the door, they're here. you finish loading, grab a hand full or shells and shove them in your pocket just as the door breaks. you pump the shotgun and level it at the man getting up off the floor. "STAY DOWN OR I'LL SHOOT!" you yell at him but he either doesn't hear or ignores you.
