This choice: They arrive at the camp, startling the rest of the Shepherds. • Go Back...Chapter #7Back to the Camp by: Frost "Gawds, that is just about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard." Severa chided.
"You never know," Cynthia argued, "we were attacked by giant revenants before. Just imagine, if I were that size, I'd unleash my righteous fury on all the baddies in my way. They'd be no chance for any evil doers to escape my boots of justice."
The pegasus knight made a display of her idea by stamping at the dirt and twisting her platform.
"The day you become a giant is the day I leave Ylisse for good." Severa quipped.
"While the idea is amusing," Laurent cut in, "the mere concept of a giant is physically impossible. If, by any miracle, the giant doesn't collapse under their own weight, their heart would be too weak to pump blood throughout the body. The giant revenant was pure smoke and had no heart, ergo it was able to sustain a gargantuan stature."
"You're no fun, Laurent," Cynthia pouted.
Just then, as if on cue, the ground rumbled rhythmically, forcing the group to run out the barracks. They met up with the other Shepherds as the quakes grew more threatning.
Off in the distance, they began to make out the form.
"Another revenant!?"
The soldiers began to rush into the armory, picking up lances, swords, and axes. They ran around the camp in a panic as they were absent of both their general and tactician. And by the time the Shepherds were prepared, the massive shape in the distance was much more recognisable.
All it took was one look at the snow white hair and the massive coat for them to realize who the "threat" was.
"Uh, hello," was all the tactician could force out as she sheepishly knelt and lowered the group on her palm.
"I told you so, Severa!" Cynthia chimed gleefully as she made her way to Robin, where a large group of people began to form.
"Bubbles," Gaius spoke up, "you... Blew up." His joke elicited a uniform groan.
"Robin should stomp you flat on principle alone." Maribelle scolded, absolutely ashamed of her husband's pun.
It took a few hours, but the Shepherds slowly accepted their tactician's new stature and they went back to business, except for Robin who sat at the edge of the camp. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
