This choice: Robin runs towards his daughter(s') tent.  •  Go Back...
Chapter #7

At Morgan's Mercy

    by: Frost Author IconMail Icon
Taking a short break to recollect his wits. Robin quickly noted how difficult it would be to track down his beloved wife. There was a good chance he'd run into Tharja, or even some night crawling insects.

He shuddered at the thought of Tharja.

His mind came across a much safer option that involved finding his daughter, Morgan. And if was just like her father, she would be soundly asleep in her tent. He just had to hope she wasn't as sound of a sleeper as he was.

Feeling a little off put on exactly how small he was, Robin rushed three tents down from his, staring up at awe at the sheer height of the structure. He stepped inside the of the tent, hearing a familiar snore that could only belong to his daughter. He sighed at Morgan's carelessness, noticing a still lit, half burnt candle at her bedside.

Robin's daughter was lying face down, her head resting against one arm while her other arm hung over the cot. Robin stopped at the plush fingertips, marveling at their size as they easily dwarfed him. He pushed against Morgan's ring finger only to have it flick him back in a subconscious response. He was sent back by the force with only some of his pride damaged after being manhandled by his sleeping daughter.

He dug around his coat, pulling out a thunder tome. He sighed, knowing that his daughter wouldn't be too happy about being shocked awake. He felt the slight charge at his fingertips as he flipped open the tome. Grimacing at the idea of harming his child, Robin hoped his magical capabilities had scaled down with him.

"OW!" Morgan yelped, shooting up into a sitting position on her cot. She sucked on her finger, hoping to cool the burning sensation. She scanned the floor, her eyes lighting up in apparent interest. "What kind of bug bites like that?"

'Bug?" Robin said to himself, fearing the worst.

But before Robin could even call out, he was encased in a warm fleshy compress as two giant hands had cupped him in between. He was lifted up to a blown up version of his daughter's face, her lips curled into a slight smile.

"F-Father? Is that really you?" Morgan asked, "You're soooo teeny."
Robin couldn't help but chuckle at his daughter's innocent diction. "Yeah it's me."
"How did this happen?"

"It's a long story." Robin answered vaguely, "just make sure to take me to your mother in the morning."
"Okie-Dokie," Morgan chirped. "But you're sleeping close to me. Need to make sure you're safe and all."

"Morgan? Who exactly are you talking to at this hour?" The voice was tired and groggy.

The girl shouted in surprise, nearly dropping her shrunken father. Morgan kept calm, recognizing the voice as her sister...
