As Negi proceeded to cast the spell, he noticed one of his students walking in the distance. It was Chachamaru, who was taking a casual walk around Mahora Academy early in the morning. Evangeline’s robotic assistant was seldom seen away from her master, which Negi found much easier to talk to the android girl when his master wasn’t around.
“Hello, Chachamaru-san”, he said to the girl as she stopped and looked at him waving to her. “What are you doing out?”
“Oh, hello Negi-sensei”, she replied as she walked up to her teacher. “I was just enjoying a nice walk outside before going to the store. Master wanted me to buy her something to eat. What are you doing yourself on this nice Sunday?”
“Oh, I’m going to try to make this pebble bigger”, he explained. “I’m going to do so by using a growth spell I recently discovered.”
“M-may I see you do it?” Chachamaru questioned her teacher, looking a little excited by what he was about to do. He nodded in reply, and soon enough she stepped back a few steps as her teacher prepared the spell. He lifted his staff in front of him, and a bright light was beginning to shine from his staff as he shouted the incantation:
“Incresco Tantus!!”
And with that came a bright blue light. However, it wasn’t aiming for the pebble directly underneath Negi’s feet: somehow the projectile went backwards and hit Chachamaru instead! Slowly she felt her body tingling and growing before her, feeling her very body stretching quickly in various directions. First her legs grew, then her arms, hands, feet, stomach, and finally her hair and head. At the end the android student of his had grown to become a towering 90 feet tall giantess!
“Sensei, what just happened!?” a worried, embarrassed Chachamaru asked her teacher, standing on her knees and covering her face in her hands in shock.
“Somehow you got hit by the spell”, Negi told her, looking equally as worried. “Let’s go see if Evangeline-san can fix this!”
“No! I don’t want her to find out! I don’t want to worry her!” Chachamaru responded hastily. “And remember, sensei. If I recall, if anyone finds out about your magic abilities, you will be stripped of your powers and be turned into an ermine.
“I know you’re scared, but sometimes you have no choice but to ask for help”, Negi tried to comfort Chachamaru, padding her right foot, only to be lifted up by the robot giantess and kissed by her on his left face cheek!
“You’re right, sensei. Let’s go ask for help!”
