To the beach

After trying to get in touch with a few of her friends, Julie remembers that her boyfriend, Matt, had off from work. She calls him up and the two of them decide to go to the beach.

After an hour drive, they pull into a parking lot a couple of blocks from the beach. Julie grabs her purse and a drawstring bag while Matt carries the cooler and towels toward the water. They walk past some quaint homes and upscale condominiums which had "For Rent" signs out front in anticipation of the upcoming summer crowds.

They make their way up onto a boardwalk with an interesting collection of shops. There were a number of arcades, restaurants, T-Shirt shops, and even some carnival rides.

After taking a quick look down the boardwalk....
