A stranger comes and puts a collar and leash ar...

"Aaughhhhhhhhhh,"Shannon blurted as she nearly tripped over the German Shepherd which had been near the door, staring at itself in the mirror. Regaining her balance she stood observing the dog. This collie had a very alarmed look on it's face, almost human-like in expression. But it had no collar, no tags.

"Hmmmmmmmm. Are you lost?"

The collie said nothing in return but seemed to stand uncomfortably, looking alternately between the mirror and Shannon's petite form.

"Wait here, you poor thing," Shannon said as she darted back out of the bathroom. She returned minutes later with a collar and a leash in her hand.

"We had an extra set in the Jeep," Shannon told the dog as she approached her slowly, offering a Milkbone as she neared Lauren's head. "Let me find your lost owner, you poor dog."

She nearly had the collar on the petrified dog when in popped an oldish woman in a blue running suit, who stood staring at the scene, a look of disapproval on her face, while she held the door open wide.

She had just started to say, "You can't have that dog in here and it can't be off of its leash! " when the German Shepherd bolted right out the door nearly knocking over the woman in the blue running suit, making her grab for the door to balance herself.

"Oh no!" Shannon exclaimed as she pushed by the woman running out with collar and leash flailing about in her hand.
