Making Up For Lost Time

    by: Unknown
Scar burped slightly as he sat back, finally allowing the lionesses to get at the by now somewhat denuded carcass. This was a new sensation for him, being able to gorge to his heart's content, previously he'd always regulated his meals for fear of how his brother would react if he took too much, but now the paler lion was dead - a satisfied smile brief crossed his face - he could do whatever he wanted to. The king frowned though, as he examined himself, for all that the meal had been satisfying, the appearance of his nearly overburdened stomach contrasted badly with his almost gaunt frame. Instead she contented herself with watching his retreating form, noting with a little distaste how his engorged belly swung pendulously with each step, overfull on a kill he'd contributed nothing to, and had not even thanked them for.

Ignorant of Sarabi's scrutinising gaze, Scar continued on his way, pausing a moment at the bottom of Pride Rock, trying to decide where would be the best place to lie up to let his large meal digest. In the end, he decided to head for...
