"Then what am I doing walking to your house, Mark?"

"I like your company! I feel at ease, like I can go all out with somebody. And you always make me feel wanted when you put on these outfits, or smile through my bad jokes." You sincerely try to bring her to your side, but you can see you're losing. "You're one of the few people who get me, Sarah."

"That's the thing," she sighs, "It's all about you. What about me, Mark?"

"Hey! I spent $20 on you on a game of milk cans!"

"I remember that-"

"And those times you couldn't afford dinner!"

"Yes, I remember."

"I do a lot for you, baby! And I've got so much more to give!"

"That's another thing, Mark." She looks down on you, dead in the eyes. "You were my enabler. I could spoil myself through you, and you could buy another night in bed with me. It's not healthy." She turns away, her voice clearly hurting, "All those classes I cheated through, those people I left behind. I thought that way back when, when Danny took me behind the baseball bleachers, that I knew what I wanted." At that instant, all the rumors were proven. You never even touched the topic, to keep her close. But that was beside the point.

"What are you saying," you ask.

"I don't know what I want." She holds your head with both hands and holds you from her waist. You can feel her pelvic muscles behind your head. "When I asked, 'You wanna try again?', what I meant was: do you... wanna start anew? Try and get to know a new me?"

"Gosh, I dunno. So much happened in just, like, three minutes."

"Ahah, yeah. I guess it was on the back of my mind until now."

You pause to think for a while. "How'd you become so mature all of a sudden?"

"I dunno," Sarah thinks aloud, "I guess... it was when that Stranger praised me, even though it was for something he imagined. I want to be known for my genius, for real."

"You're a genius in the sack," you quip.

She rolls her eyes and lets your head drop. But before your head can smack the cold hard concrete, she snaps you back up by the ears. "Ow ow ow! Okay, okay, I won't be a dick!" She twists her fingers. "For real this time!"

"Good boy." She handed you over to your body.

"Hey hey, careful, I don't know where I'll fall!"

"Just feel around until you find yourself."

And just like that, you groped yourself back to your body. Cupping your head in your hands, you used your thumbs to gingerly rub your ears. They felt like hot irons. For a while, the two of you walked in silence, your house likely a distant blur among the miasma of suburbia. Sarah was facing away from you during all this time. "I'm sorry," you say, sincerely. Still more quiet. Minutes seem to pass.

"I don't think I can keep up this relationship anymore. I mean, you're in trouble right now, so I'll be your friend. But for now, and for a while, I need to find myself, you know? Build up from all that time I wasted."

At that moment, your house finally came into view. Seeing as the trip took so long, it was likely you circled around it a few times. The ramifications of that begin to hit you. "Do you think anyone saw?," you ask.

"Well, you're Mom and Dad don't come home until dark, and it's pretty bright out."

"That's true," you note, squinting your eyes as you look around for cars. "Say, hehe, you wanna have some fun?"

"Actually I wanted to catch up on homework."

"Oh come on, we can just copy from someone else."

"Christ above, did you learn anything from our talk?"

"...I'm sorry."

Sarah sighs to herself. At that moment though, she grows thoughtful. "Then again, it is the weekend."

You make a V with one of your hands, then flick your tongue inside it, wagging slow and seductively. Sarah blushes at this, instinctively crossing her legs. You smile at this.

"Mark!," she asserts, shoving you away, then turning her back against you, arms crossed.

You have the following choices:
