Miharu picked up a ring that had fallen out of the envelope with her paycheck. The ring was gold and had a red gemstone on it.
"Whoever handles my paycheck must have accidentally lost their ring." Miharu said. She wanted to return it, but Miharu felt like putting the ring on her finger first.
"This ring looks so pretty!" Miharu exclaimed as she looked at it. Miharu wasn't in to jewelry, but having a ring did feel nice. The more that Miharu looked at the ring, the more that she wanted to keep it.
"It's just one ring!" Miharu convinced herself. "They probably won't notice that it's gone. They can always get another ring, one that's much fancier than this! Besides, they should have taken better care not to lose it anyway!
